What do you think about homophobes?
What do you think about people that always "act gay" but "really aren't?"
A lot of boys at school do that and flirt with each other and pretend they're gay at times, but "aren't" and I've just been curious about some of them, are they just afraid to show who they really are? Why do people have to hide? Why can't they just be honest with themselves?
People say that homophobes are insecure about their sexuality and that is why they make fun of others. That could be true because when I was younger I made fun of my mom a lot because she wore burkenstocks (sp?) and always called her a lesbian...and now I'm a total fruitcake. But I also think that some of these people might just not understand gays and that is why they make fun of them. So...I just wanted to hear your opinions on that.

Actually, it is true that homophobic males are really latent, self loathing homosexuals. I read a study about this. They took around 50 straight males with girlfriends and did tests on them. Half of the men were homophobic, and half of the men were nonhomophobic.

Both groups of men were shown man-on-woman porn. They were all aroused by the end of the study. But then both groups of men were shown gay male porn. The homophobic males were immediately arounsed, while the nonhomophobic males took much longer to become aroused. At the end of the study, the data concluded that the homophobic males became aroused more quickly, and reached an overall higher state of arousal than the nonhomophobic males.

So, to all you homophobes, STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT.

I think homophobes should just let the subject go. If they dont like gays/lesbians they shouldnt HAVE TO FIGHT THEM. If a gay person is talking to them, and making them uncomfortable they shouldnt get all up in their face and say or connotate rudeness and hatred to them. Then...why are they so scared?? Is there something wrong in their phycee thats telling them THEY COULD BECOME BI OR GAY THEMSELVES. What gay people do shouldnt bother them... yes lives affect other lives but people should repress judging others for their sexual preference! The homophobes are affecting the homo's and tearing them down! I could go on and on and on, but I need to move onto ur other question...
i dont have a clear standing on guys ACTING gay. It can show a somewhat tolerance for them but it's mocking...But when I was put in the position where my friends were doing that infront of me, I couldnt help but get disgusted..I dont mock their sexuality! They're nice but their actions as such are unnessacary in my point of view. Alas...I leave you at that. TakE CarE

Idon't agree in the comment that you made about the making fun of other peple because they're afraid of they're homosexuality.

I mean duh my dad it's straight he married my mom and so it's my bro he's been with the same girl for almost a year.I believe they just don't like the fact that WE the gay people become something better than them

And I don't like the comment you made about us being better than them.
We are not better than heterosexuals. If you mean we are better than homophobes, then I suppose that holds some truth since we are more open-minded, generally.

Well, my opinion is live and let live.

Open mindness never hurt anyone.

But that homophobes are irritating, that they are. No doubt about it.
